We believe that human productivity is our most precious natural resource. Being productive may have varied meanings, but productivity can only be achieved by individuals when they have a spirit and purpose in life—a purpose of task or a purpose of survival. Reclaim, Recycle, Re-use       The Human Green embodies the principles of reclaiming, recycling and re-using. Many treasures have been destroyed because they were perceived to have no value. Many lives have been destroyed because no one was there to reach out. Our landfills are full of wonderful materials that could have, and should have been salvaged and reused. Our prisons and welfare centers are full of people who could have, and should have helped to become productive and respected citizens.       Every brick cannot be saved. Every person cannot be helped. We believe, however, that by employing people that need a second chance in life to help salvage our valuable resources, we create a win/win situation. Every day someone goes to prison –or back to prison- because no honest work was to be found. Every day someone destroys an old house full of wonderful wood, brick or relics because it was expedient to do so. Our goal…our duty… is to bring people in need of work together with people who value salvaged materials.         The Human Green is in its earliest stage. We currently are reclaiming materials in a small area of Kentucky but, with God’s grace and blessing, we plan to expand to as many areas as possible. Our vision is to one day have reclamation centers in every county of every state. These centers will employ mostly those people who otherwise would be looking to our government for assistance. Whether they dismantle buildings, de-nail, clean, stack lumber or make furniture, these people will be given the opportunity to make a difference in their own lives while helping to preserve our history and resources.       The first step is for The Human Green to provide (in limited quantities for now) some wonderful reclaimed materials and reproduction primitive furniture built from salvaged wood. As we sell, we will grow. As we grow, we will hire disadvantaged people who show a willingness to improve their lives.
Every human, whether young, old, rich, or poor, has a heart, a spirit and a soul. We believe it is incumbent upon those of us who can help others to do so.
